The table below highlights the buildings, rooms, and locations on Mason campuses that have private, inclusive spaces for meditation, lactation spaces, and/or unisex bathrooms. See below:

Lactation Spaces

Campus Building Room Type Additional Notes
Fairfax Horizon Hall 4005 Lactation Space This is the primary lactation space in Horizon Hall. This room is available on a first-come, first-served basis whenever the building is open. Please lock the door when you are using the space. If you encounter any issues with the space, please contact engagehr@gmu.edu.
Fairfax Horizon Hall 3218 Lactation Space The lactation space is located on the west side of the building within the CHSS suite. It is only available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., during business hours when the CHSS suite is open and staffed. If the office suite is not open, please use Room 4005 instead.

Room 3218 is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please lock the door when you are using the space. If you encounter any issues with the space, please contact engagehr@gmu.edu.
Fairfax Horizon Hall 6318 Lactation Space The lactation space is located on the west side of the building and should be accessed by entering the CHSS suite (6200). It is only available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., during business hours when the CHSS suite is open and staffed. If the office suite is not open, please use room 4005 instead.

Room 6318 is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please lock the door when you are using the space. If you encounter any issues with the space, please contact engagehr@gmu.edu.
Fairfax Merten Hall 4100 (HR & Payroll Office) Lactation Space Call 703-993-2600 or 703-993-2604 to schedule. Available M-F, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Fairfax Nguyen Engineering Building TBD Lactation Space Contact the Life/Work Connections team at 703-993-2600 to arrange.
Fairfax SUB I 1004 Lactation Space Check-in at the Mason Student Services Center (MSSC).
Fairfax Peterson Hall 2414a Lactation Space Available 7:00am-11:00pm every day.
Fairfax Johnson Center Ground floor Lactation Space Lactation Space Located adjacent to the east elevators/restrooms. Available all hours the building is open.
Mason Square (Arlington) Van Metre Hall 323A Lactation Space Available in accordance with building hours, currently 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Please lock the door when you are using the space. If you experience any issues with this space, please contact 703-993-2095 or arlops@gmu.edu.
Science & Technology Colgan Hall 209 Lactation Space For more information, visit SciTech Lactation Space.
Science & Technology Colgan Hall 229 Lactation Space To request access the lactation room during business hours, please go to Executive Office Room 217 (Colgan Hall). Please contact 703-993-8355 or 703-993-8370 if you need access or experience any issues with the space.
