SUB 1 Accessible Bathroom

Disability Services and the Office of Access, Compliance, and Community have worked closely to identify and provide a fully ADA accessible restroom. The restroom is located in Student Union Building 1 (SUB 1) on the 3rd floor by Suite 3600. The restroom includes a universal changing station, ceiling Hoyer lift, an automatic sink, lights, paper towel dispenser, and an accessible door, countertop, sink, and mirror.

The Hoyer Lift has an emergency cord, and a maximum capacity of 625 pounds. Slings for the lift will be provided to individuals that are connected with Disability Services and/or the Office of Access, Compliance, and Community. Along with the accessible features, individuals that access this space may be able to keep their personal supplies in a locker within the restroom.

Both students and faculty will need to receive permission in order to have access to this accessible bathroom. Faculty will reach out to ADA/OACC at [email protected] or by calling 703-993-8730. Students will need to reach out to Disability Services either in person in SUB 1 Suite 2500, email [email protected], or call 703-993-2474.
