The flowchart outlines the Supplemental Applications Decision Tree. Below are detailed instructions to guide you through how to determine which applications to submit for an ASRB review:
The flowchart outlines a Supplemental Applications Decision Tree. This will help you decide which supplemental applications should be inventoried (i.e., added to the DCAAP Tracker spreadsheet) and which have already been reviewed by the ASRB. Here's a detailed description of the various decision paths and steps:
Step 1 - Exemption: To be exempted from consideration, the supplemental application must meet two initial conditions:
If the supplemental app meets both of these conditions, do not list it on the DCAAP tracker spreadsheet. If it fails one or both of these conditions, list it on the spreadsheet and move to Step 2.
Step 2 - Check Vendor's website for accessibility information: Many vendors already include digital accessibility-related information on their website. This includes Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates or VPATs which give you guidance on how accessible or inaccessible your application might be.
Conduct a quick Google search for the vendor and add search terms like VPAT, accessibility, WCAG, etc. If the vendor has any accessibility-related statements or information on their website, you should be able to easily find it. For example, conduct a Google search for H5P accessibility opens a new window. Note the results and how easy it is to identify accessibility-related information for this vendor.
If you locate accessibility-related information on your vendor's website, list this information on the DCAAP tracker spreadsheet. If you cannot locate any of this information, mark the appropriate space as "N/A". Now, move on to Step 3.
Step 3: Did the ASRB already review this application?
