Assistive Technology Initiative Office (ATI) 

The Assistive Technology Initiative (ATI) is under Compliance, Diversity and Ethics (CDE). The ATI works to ensure individuals with disabilities have an accessible university environment to all technology. This is accomplished through a unified collaboration among all department units. Some examples of services include provision of accessible text to students and staff (referral only), provision of accessible media, assessments, training and web accessibility testing for Mason websites and classroom technologies. Compliance, Diversity and Ethics (CDE)

The Compliance, Diversity and Ethics (CDE) office houses the ADA coordinator who is responsible for facilitating reasonable accommodations for Mason employees with disabilities. The ADA coordinator also addresses complaints of discrimination based on disability for all members of the Mason community and visitors. Office of Disability Services (ODS)

The Office of Disability Services (ODS) at George Mason University determines and coordinates services and accommodations for students with disabilities. The ODS works with a variety of students with documented disabilities. Services can include, but are not limited to examination accommodations, use of a recorder or listening device, use of a note taker, priority registration, reduced course load and provision of sign language interpreters.   • Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office provides a wide range of services to students, faculty, and staff. Services are provided by a staff of professional counseling and clinical psychologists, social workers, and counselors. CAPS individual and group counseling, workshops and outreach programs are designed to enhance students' personal experience and academic performance.   • The Writing Center

The Writing Center offers many resources for students and employees such as writing tutors, writing tips and handouts, ESL (English as a second language) support and more.   • Math Tutoring Center

 The Undergraduate Math Tutoring Center is located on the Fairfax Campus, Johnson Center, Room 334. They provide general tutoring for freshman and sophomore math classes. Free walk-in tutoring is available for all Mason students enrolled in classes up to Math 290.
